Social and recreational support in our Golden Valley home

Social and recreational support covers the activities that make a day feel like a life, not just a schedule of care games, movies, exercise, arts and crafts, and time with family part of Minnesota's Customized Living program for adults 55+. At Bond's Golden Valley home, staff build these into daily routines, one-on-one and in groups.

What social and recreational support covers

One-on-one time

Real time with staff, one-on-one — conversation, shared hobbies, company — not only group programming.

Games & movie nights

Regular game and movie nights that residents actually look forward to — chosen with them, not for them.

Holiday celebrations

Holidays and birthdays marked and planned for — celebrations as part of the calendar, not an afterthought.

Exercise & movement

Movement suited to each resident's ability, from chair exercise to walks — activity without intimidation.

Arts & crafts

Something to make, not just something to watch — creative projects matched to interest and ability.

Family visits

Visits planned for and welcomed, with staff support for time together at the home and out in the community.
